Expertise

Snorre Qveim-Leikanger is an associate at Selmer's Oslo office, and is part of the firm's energy and shipping/offshore group. Snorre has experience as adviser to clients involved in the oil & gas, shipping/offshore and defence industries. Generally, his practice covers a wide range of services with emphasis on contracts and M&A, as well as construction and operation of ships and other types of vessels. He advises clients in negotiations, planning and execution of projects, as well as with general commercial advise. He is also affiliated to Selmer's Corporate department, where he is involved in transactions within the energy sector. Snorre further has background as a lieutenant and military lawyer at the Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency's Naval Systems Division, where he worked with negotiations and contract management of the Royal Norwegian Navy's newbuilds and naval weapon systems. Snorre also has experience from the U.S. Department of State, where he was engaged as an adviser for political and economic affairs at the U.S. embassy in Oslo.
